TRIGGER WARNING AT THE END OF THIS SECTION
When a Chinese Dragon General had been given a Japanese Unicorn courtier as his bride to strengthen a bond of the two kingdoms, the General assumed that his new bride would give him children that were hybrids of them both; sadly, this was not what had happened. They were gifted with five children; three sons that all took after their father, a daughter that took after her mother, and their final daughter was the hybrid her father had dreamed of. Unfortunately, though, this angered the General and when his children were of an age that they no longer needed their mother, he murdered her.
Due to his rank within the Juiqi Court, all of his children had been taught well, like her brothers, Diayu showed no magical abilities. However, when her little sister began showing signs, she was locked away within the family's apartments and tutors were brought in to teach her. Because of this focused attention on the youngest child, Diayu was able to sneak off to practices with her brothers, ever grateful that they never told their father what she had been doing.
It was during these secret lessons that Diayu learned how to wield a katana, she learned to throw kunai knives -- often at her own brothers for the fun of it. Diayu learned and trained in the martial arts of Kung Fu and Judo alongside her brothers, and grew extremely proud of herself every time she bested them during a sparring match.
It was on the day that the children's mother was murdered that the General found out of Diayu's extra lessons, and as a result he sent her brothers away to live with their maternal grandparents in Japan. Due to her interest in the things her brothers did, and not what her sister was doing -- gardening, dancing, and painting -- Diayu was rejected as a daughter and treated more like a bastard son that the General never truly wanted to be burdened with.
It was this rejection that fueled her determination to protect her sister from her father and his horrible friends that their Emperor knew nothing about; men that would have the General drug poor little Aiyue and do as they pleased with her. This fueled Diayu's need to find the Emperor and beg for her sister's safety.
Diayu knew she was not the favorite, but she would do anything to protect and guard her favorite sibling. -
This unicorn was a hodgepodge of colors but in a way, they all complimented each other. From her pale red pelt, her three-toned hair of mint green, seafoam green and blue, her heterochromatic eyes of teal and amber, and her deep burgundy hooves; it was almost as if a misshapen rainbow had given birth to her instead of her own mother. Her horn was pure silver, which had only happened in her family four generations prior to her birth. The unicorn was rather tall for a female of her species, standing at 5 foot 7 inches -- this was due to partially to the dragon blood that was dormant in her system from her father. Her multi-colored hair was left free save for a single braid on the left side of her head that wove the three colors together beautifully. She was an exceptionally curvy female for her kind as well, though this was mostly due to her activity growing up learning martial arts and sword fighting with her brothers. As for garments, the unicorn was more inclined to wear simple fabrics that were tighter in nature to accentuate her lovely curves.
